The CCC uses neodyme magnets to hold the different tools at the tool holder with the help of a kinematic connection.

The complete tool holder is built by laser cutted aluminium plates.

Central fan source

Instead of adding fans to every tool, we have choosen a well performing central fan, which is mounted on the tool holder.

Each tool has a guide duct, which connects to the main fan duct on the tool holder.

Tool stations

The tool stations are using an mechanical, latching mechanism. We loved the idea by Phil Wilson.

Under every tool station sits its own filament waste box.

These boxes have an integrated nozzle cleaner and the dropped in filament can be removed by sliding the bottom drawer out.

Nozzle measurement

Automatic measurement for new nozzles/tools. Z height by electric contact probe, X/Y measurement by an camera(endoscope) and the software library opencv.
